Testing out a new lighting arrangement this weekend and first results are nice. The balance between the front and back lighting might need adjustment, but I like the results of the current settings. More experimentation over the weekend.
[Tech specs: Using a Lastolite HiLite background and acrylic roll floor. HiLite lit from inside using two Elinchrom RX600’s and another two RX600’s infront of the HiLite to wash out the join. A single Elinchrom BxRi 500 shooting through an umbrella is used to light the subject from the front (a second would have been added if I had space – There’s rather limited space in my front room!). I hired two different models of light to trial them and see the difference. Although the RX600’s are the more ‘professional’. I prefer the BxRi500. This proved to be lighter and quieter. The RX600’s have cooling fans that run continuously, while the BxRi500’s fan only kicked in occasionally.]
