Well after the mad scramble to assemble all our presentation pieces, choosing which images to use, which frames in which size and anything else we needed to think about like display stands, banners, business cards and show offers, etc. The big day (for us) came. Benjamin had been packed off to his grandparents the day before after they had kindly offered to look after him so we could concentrate on getting ready for the show.
The show was at the Forever Living London offices at Alexander House just off Parson’s Green. One of the main things that became apparent on arrival was that to get to the venue you had to work your way around a mini maze of corridors and stairs (or lifts) to the conference room that was being used for the event – maybe not the best idea for parents with prams. There were also only 12 stands that had been invited so the show was small. That being said – there was a good cross section of the range of things for Mother and Baby and few new ideas as well. Attendance by the public was not great. There was potential for more, but I guess like most things its not just down to advertising, but word of mouth and having enough there to encourage people to come.
Photos taken at the event can be found here:
We had a lot of interest in the photography and one couple asking about weddings, will just have to see if there is any follow on from the event. However, we now have the materials for future events – yay! The photograph is of our stand. What do you think?
