Portraiture is not just an image, it’s about having a piece of crafted art to display and enjoy for years to come. It’s something I love to craft, where a camera is just a tool.

What makes a good portrait? That, to some extent, is a matter of personal taste. Why does one person like a picture and another does not? A good portrait could simply be catching ‘that’ moment – capturing an emotion, a look or action as it happens or a totally styled composition.

I offer lifestyle and/or studio portraiture for individuals, groups, family, children and babies. I love natural light lifestyle portraits. Ones that take advantage of natural or architectural surroundings as backdrops, be this around your own home, the park or another location. Studio portraiture is more traditional.

I encourage portrait sessions to be relaxed in order to get the best out of individuals, so sessions are typically one or more hours with breaks to allow plenty of time to create the images.

Bad weather? Somebody fallen ill? Or just having a bad hair day? No problem, we simply reschedule for another day.
