Our location was Wilder’s Folly, which I’ve already talked about in the first part of this post and doing some Lifestyle Portraiture with Tienna. However, the main reason for working with Tienna was that she was a gymnast and prepared to do some gymnastic lifestyle portraiture. This was going to be cool… I didn’t realise just how prophetic the idea of being cool was going to be… it rained!! While we were at Wilder’s Folly I don’t think it stopped drizzling. However, that didn’t stop us getting some great images.
I shelved ideas of doing more acrobatic gymnastics as the ground was wet and slippy from all the drizzle, so we took advantage of the great viewpoints and angles the folly itself offered. Tienna had come prepared with a number of different leotards and gymnastic tops, which was useful as it meant we could find a top that complemented the graffiti inside the tower. With the help of my partner Tini, who had come along with her klnowledge of gymnastics to advise on possible gymnastic poses, Tienna did a fantastic job of getting into and holding various gymnastic poses.
